Herald of Telluric Springs, Poseidon 2.0, an oceanic eldritch horror. Over the course of the next 800 years, Percy will begin to take on the ultimate form of the unsettling, mysterious, and ever-changing sea with a large, eldritch horror form that could tower a mountain, and is always connected to the water. (See profile illustration.)

However, when on land and when interacting with friends, family, other Summoned, and loved ones, he will go between his 'human'-looking form (Logan Lerman), and something more humanoid — essentially a form in between his eldritch form and his human form, with muscular limbs, broad chest, and a Tritonesque beard and flowing hair.

temperament ;

Over the course of eight-hundred years, Percy (who will soon shed this name for his title, with the exception of close CR who could still remember this name and call him by it) remains good-hearted, kind, and generally benevolent. As a god, his bark is worse than his bite and his capacity for patience is larger than one might expect from someone who has essentially become one with the turning tides of the sea. (That said, there is a big exception to this — more later.) He will generally give out blessings to his followers and patrons more than he takes. But he can and will become vengeful if anyone — mortal or otherwise — were to harm him or Annabeth, inflicting his affliction on them without remorse.

god things ;

With his blessing, under Flow, he provides his patrons safe travels, calmness in emotion, feelings of harmony, and the ability (or wisdom) to adapt to any hardship under doable circumstances. These involve more simple things such as day-to-day living, adventures at sea, or community life. On the flip-side, if angered or his sense of vengeance sparked, his affliction, under Tsunami will echo the destructive and chaotic nature of the sea, sending those who wrong him out to become lost at sea, meeting a terrible fate as they fall to the bottom of the waters without air to breath, or a way out.

Temples built solely for god!Percy exist mostly near the waterside, and are very simple and organic structures usually carved from natural stone, some sea-glass, or marble. Over the course of 800 years, these temples might start to take on a natural patina, with algae growth, coral and polyps sticking to the surfaces of his temple structures, and age wearing sharper edges down like sea-glass. He accepts truthful stories as his form of an offering, over anything material or physical, as he has no use for material items as a god, and truthfully has nowhere to really store any of it. Stories, however, become a valued asset that modern-day (well, 800 years in anyway) theologians might continue to debate about in academic settings.

A well-informed and wise patron would know to visit one of the joint temples that Percy shares with Annabeth before setting out to sea, providing offerings for both of them — the reason, of course is that if Annabeth is appeased, then Percy is appeased, and a combination of calm seas and good plans ensures a successful trip.

800 years of history

In summary: shortly after reaching godhood, a handful of decades into the event and prior to them even realizing what's happening to themselves as they connect further into the Singularity, now fully adults, Percy and Annabeth will marry and have children. Their children will grow up and live and die as mortals, living good and fulfilling lives, but as the centuries go on, they watch themselves outlive their bloodline, losing more of themselves to their godhood. By this time Percy will have shed his name and grow into his title as the Herald of the Telluric Springs, eventually forgetting most of the details of his life as a half-mortal demigod — all with the exception, of course, of his dedication and loyalty to his wife.

0-100 — Percy gets to have a strangely normal life without being constantly targeted just for existing. He helps the locals out, has a particular fondness for the people of Nott (and thus spends a lot of his time there), speaks to the fish and the horses, and generally has a good time. He and Annabeth become full, responsible adults and start to call Thorne home. By their mid-twenties, Percy proposes marriage to Annabeth, and they tie the knot. It's a small ceremony with their friends, both from home and whom they've gotten to know here. Claire, Wanda, Himeka are there. Without quite realizing it, they've already begun to take on godly powers from the Singularity, and while they have three kids who don't seem to possess any special abilities or godly powers themselves, they have a very fulfilling and most importantly: normal life.

100-500 — Percy and Annabeth's children die after living fairly respectably long lives. By the end of 500 years, their bloodline has now disappeared but Percy and Annabeth continue to get more and more powerful, while also aging very slowly. Moments of grief pull Percy towards the sea, but ultimately Annabeth always pulls him back. His memories of Sally and Poseidon, Manhattan, New York, and Earth start to fade. His mortal childhood also starts to fade away as he no longer has any real need for it. The core values he'd learned during those times remain but he can't quite recall anything with any detail. His helping out the locals throughout the years never ceases, even with #familylyfe and with his powers (both canon and now godly) he has the opportunity to do great things, big things. This starts to gain him more followers. Temples are built in his honour. This starts to get to his head. He keeps in contact with his close friends and found family here.

500-800 — More and more bits of his 'humanity' start to fade away. He gains power until 'present day', the number of his temples near any large saltwater body increases. Joint temples between him and Annabeth grow in power and strength. He no longer helps people out on his own accord. People, including and especially his followers (and Annabeth's) must seek him out if they need his help. He spends more time in the ocean unless his loved ones call him, essentially becoming 'request only'.

800-onwards — Ultimately a god in every way now; the passage of time is slow and inconsequential and really only serves as a talking point or a teasing joke. He has no actual sense of time or things like building a future. His humanity only exists in blips and when he's in his 'Percy' form. His surname has been long forgotten, so the only thing he really remembers when he assumes his Logan Lerman form is 'Percy'. Otherwise he's simply known as the Herald. He also is prone to slight temper tantrums and reacts pretty badly to slights directed at him. He'll be outright murderous at any slights towards his wife. As a god he's pretty much turned into the thing he's always fought against; as 'Percy' he's still got those moments of quirk and care and a heap of personal loyalty, but nuance has been ebbed away. He relates more and more to the element of the water.

lost memories ;

During the course of 800 years, Percy will eventually lose the following memories:

  • that he never wanted godhood; now his slow transformation becomes so natural he won't even notice it until it's happened and it's really all he can recall (memories of his time growing up as a half-mortal, half-god will grow faint and eventually forgotten; his life in Abraxas as a father to mortal children will also be forgotten)
  • he will forget 'Sally Jackson' as a person; her lessons to him, including what makes him still good and brave and loyal (core elements of his personality in canon) still exist because of her, he just won't remember how he'd learned to be this way or why
  • he will forget 'Poseidon' is his father, or that Poseidon is a personality to him as he becomes more and more like the god-side of his dad (this way there isn't anyone to either imitate or avoid imitating — essentially Percy is his own Poseidon now)
  • he will forget the specificities about the Greek gods, only remembering that there were Greek gods and that they had specific patronages (with the exception of Apollo for the earlier years, at least?)
